Prices are for the actual job and do not include parts, I can buy them as outlined in the notes section or you supply your own
Prices based on the 1108cc overhead cam engine - contact me for others, I can do 899 engines too, below are the most popular items:

Please note: I am not a trader, I am a Cinq Sporting owner who is willing to help others, get a garage quote then ask me, dont let your cinq be scrapped due to the high cost of garage fee's.

Thanks for looking!

Notes:

Handbrake problems?
A handbrake that doesnt hold the car, or the feeling that the back brakes are stuck on when handbrake is released are due to a small lever in the back brake mechanism, the lever has a pivot and this pivot has a habit of seizing up, its unlikely that your handbrake cable will need replacing, and even more likely that your brake shoes will need replacing. The fix is to remove the brake drum, followed by the shoes and take the lever out, the pivot needs freeing up with soem release agent then some grease working in, until it is loose, fitted back to the car and repeat other side and handbrake will be perfect again.

Cam/timing belt Replacement
This job is fairly easy on a 1108/1242 engine, the cost of a belt isnt that great and the job is an ideal time to replace the water pump, unlike a lot of other engines, if you are unfortunate to have a belt snap, the engine components wont be damaged - so dont be fobbed off by a recovery man or local garage, a new belt will have the engine running great again, its important to properly align the timing marks to ensure proper running.

Clutch problems?
The clutch fitted to these cars can cause problems, but most often when it is thought a new clutch might be needed, its often the cable that just needs adjusting. If you are having problems getting the car into 1st gear, or crunching into reverse, or maybe the "bite" is very low, then it will be the cable. The problem getting the car into 1st is sometimes thought to be a gearbox fault too, but its nearly always the clutch adjustment at fault.
Another clutch problem is a snapped cable, the cables arent very expensive and are easily fitted.

Poor running
The engines in these cars are a fairly typical modern engine, with all its associated sensors all over the place, one or two of them can cause problems.
If your car has an uneven idle, maybe it sounds like its "chugging", then the first thing to check is the rubber pipe between the inlet manifold to the MAP sensor on the passenger side inner wing, the pipe is a small bore and around 8mm thick, they have  a habit of splitting at the ends and this lets air in under vacuum, resulting in poor idle and poor fuel consumption. At the pipe's junction at the inlet manifold there is another similar pipe that goes to the bottom of the air box, and the valve in the air intake, these can also cause problems, I have removed mine and plugged the pipes, resultign in better running.
Next of the usual running problems is the O2 sensor, this is fixed into the exhaust downpipe just under the exhaust manifold, if this is faulty you will notice high fuel consumption, and a feeling that the car wont pull or rev very well, unless you have a spare one you may have to splash the cash on this one, a "universal fit" one of ebay did the job when mine went, about £25 all in.
If you have recently changed the alternator belt, and the car wont start afterwards despite it turning over then a quick check of the sensor pointing at the lower belt pulley is probably the cause, this can be a case of the connector left undone, or its adjustment in its mounting

Water Pump
The water pump can fail on the 1108 and 1242cc engine after the seals around its bearings get worn, typically water will drip out while the engine is running, it will trickle down the front of the engine and drop off the bottom at the cam belt end just by the oil pump behind the bottom pulley, easy to spot if you look underneath while the engine is warm and running.

Head Gasket failure

The daddy of poor running however, will be failure of the cylinder head gasket, this might be noticed via frequent sessions of having to top up the water in the coolant tank, especially if there are no visible leaks, allowing the water to run low will worsen the situation over time, in general a failed head gasket might show up when the car is started from cold, does it sound like its mis-firing? then it clears itself when warm? it sounds like a daunting job but in 99% of cases it is easily fixable, a gasket kit and a skim of the head to ensure flatness is usually all thats needed and the time to do the job, this is where many garages will sting you in their labour costs, as you then wonder whether the car is worth the spend...
